About the role
The Community Advisor – Alternative Channel will join FNB’s Points of Presence team to deliver excellent, prompt service to customers using the Pick ‘n Pay initiative. This 12‑month fixed‑term position focuses on building relationships, guiding customers to digital banking solutions, and providing tailored financial advice.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across the Alternative Channel.
- Provide a positive customer experience, addressing transactional needs and expectations.
- Explain banking processes and requirements in clear, simple language.
- Ensure compliance with all rules, processes, and attention‑to‑detail standards.
- Educate customers on the appropriate banking platform that matches their needs.
- Analyse customer data to recommend tailored financial solutions.
- Identify sales opportunities and contribute to portfolio growth.
- Uphold ethical standards and brand promise of “how can we help you?”.
Required profile
- Minimum NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service or a related field recognized by FAIS.
- 1–3 years of experience in customer‑facing roles within financial services.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
- Confidence in guiding customers toward digital and self‑service solutions.
- Strong accuracy, discipline, and adherence to processes.
- Organisational, planning and time‑management capability.
