Electro Mechanic II – Night Shift (12‑hour rotating)

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Electro Mechanic II to join its Engineering function on a night‑shift schedule. You will work on complex electromechanical systems, providing troubleshooting, testing, assembly, and calibration to keep production equipment running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems.
• Assist production personnel with technical problems and support the parts repair shop to restore used parts to “as‑built” condition.
• Contribute to maintenance system improvements, including preventive, corrective, predictive, and spare‑parts programs.
• Participate in equipment retrofits, upgrades, and the creation or revision of SOPs and shop repair instructions.
• Optimize manufacturing equipment and processes for quality, yield, output, and cost reduction.
• Support validation protocol completion.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to work 12‑hour rotating night shifts (2 nights on, 2 nights off, alternating weekends).
