Accounts Receivable Associate II – Japanese Speaker

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Associate II in Accounts Receivable who is fluent in Japanese. The role focuses on executing receivable processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and supporting the finance team to achieve optimal cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Support measurement and delivery of service level agreements (SLA) and KPI targets.
• Provide operational support for cash application, credit management, collections, debt and dispute resolution, and month‑end reporting.
• Engage proactively with Finance, Commercial, OTI, and third‑party service providers to ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting.
• Resolve escalated billing and debt issues, maintain stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in ERP/SAP system implementations and process standardisation to optimise investments.
• Process incoming payments, reconcile accounts receivable, and address payment discrepancies.
• Execute collection activities and handle blocked order operations and credit control tasks.

Required profile

• Fluent in Japanese with strong communication skills.
• Customer‑focused mindset with ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can challenge the status quo with fact‑based recommendations.
• Ability to manage day‑to‑day AR activities and support knowledge‑transfer initiatives.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP or other ERP financial systems.
