AI Learning Specialist

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking an AI Learning Specialist to build organizational capacity for responsible AI use across its global operations. You will partner with the Learning & Development team and AI task forces to design, develop, and deliver learning solutions that enable staff to integrate generative AI tools confidently and ethically into their daily work.

Key responsibilities

• Design a high‑impact foundational AI literacy experience accessible to all staff.
• Embed AI learning into workflows by creating role‑specific use‑case modules, micro‑learning, job aids, and interactive workshops.
• Source, curate, and produce multilingual learning assets including e‑learning courses, video tutorials, and live coaching sessions.
• Develop scenario‑based activities that reflect real humanitarian contexts and challenges.
• Collaborate with program and technical teams to identify performance gaps and evaluate AI tools for ethical and organizational fit.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of generative AI capabilities and their application in international development.
• Strong instructional design expertise with experience creating blended learning solutions.
• Commitment to capacity building in humanitarian settings and ability to translate complex concepts into practical, accessible formats.
• Comfort working in rapidly evolving technology environments and collaborating with globally distributed teams.
