About the role
Join PagoNxt Payments, Santander Group’s global payments platform, to shape commercial strategy and drive market expansion across Europe and beyond. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, data‑driven payment solutions for banks, fintechs, and enterprises.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities across the payments value chain (acquiring, issuing, merchant services, open banking, cross‑border, etc.).
- Design and execute go‑to‑market and growth strategies to expand PagoNxt’s presence in target markets.
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with fintechs, banks, merchants, and technology providers.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, finance, and operations teams to align initiatives with customer and market needs.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis on trends, customer behavior, and regulatory developments.
- Develop business cases, financial models, and commercial proposals for new ventures and revenue streams.
- Represent PagoNxt at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
Required profile
- Degree or Master’s in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within the payments or fintech ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of acquiring, issuing, open banking, digital wallets, and cross‑border payments.
